Issey Miyaki, a Japanese fashion designer, had a passion for fashion while still a young child. His sister’s early introduction of fashion publications into the house gave him the early motivation he required to launch a profession that would span generations and industries, receive accolades, and be admired all over the world. By 1970, Miyake had returned to Japan and was operating under his own name.
